** NEW ALBUM “Circular II” ** CARLOS EZEQUIEL is a drummer, composer and producer from Brazil, currently releasing “Circular II”. His previous album "Circular" includes guests David Binney and Lage Lund. His CD “images” was nominated for Latin Grammy 2002 as Best Latin Jazz Album. With group Sinequanon, he recorded “Sinequanon” (2004), “Telescópio” (2006), and “Horizonte Artificial” (2008). Carlos played with legendary Brazilian percussionist Airto Moreira , and was music producer for Airto`s album "Aluê" (2017), which got nominated for the Latin Grammy 2018 as Best Instrumental Album. He also plays in the groups of renowned Brazilian bassist Sizão Machado and sax player Vitor Alcântara`s quintet. As a performer, Carlos played with Brazilian and European groups all over Europe, Asia, South America, U.S.A.. He`s been a featured player at the Hong Kong Jazz Festival, Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival, among others. In 2001, Carlos was nominated for the Visa Music Award as Best Instrumentalist. He has performed as a sideman for world-class artists such as Lage Lund, Kurt Rosenwinkel, David Binney, David Liebman. As a producer, besides Airto`s "Aluê", Carlos worked in “A Saga da Travessia” (Letieres Leite & Orkestra Rumpilezz), which won 3 awards at the Premio da Musica Brasileira 2017, including Best Album; and legendary Brazilian drummer Nenê`s recent 2 albums, "Verão" (2017) and "Pantanal" (2018).
