His highly addictive melodies and his unique and out-of-the-box storytelling abilities bring a breath of fresh air into the world of music. His style of poetic lyrics & dreamy visuals grabs you as if you are reading a heartfelt letter, hence the name SY. Raised through the adversity and struggles of being black in America; SY learned early on in life how to make something out of nothing. His creative ability stems from hours and hours of having to use his vivid and active imagination as a child. Music runs through his DNA as his father, grandfather and many other family members also pursued their passion for music. At the age of 16 SY was introduced to the concepts of high-end studios and realized early that he would have to make his way again. He taught himself how to produce, mix, and master his music. He started mixing songs for other family members and local rappers in his neighborhood as he built his career behind the scenes. Although he is still fresh in his journey, he has uncapped potential to grow into something spectacular with the new ideas and vibrant energy he brings to the game.
