"The Group that Almost Made It" - Retro Glam was the concept of Michael DeBarge . There have been several incarnations of the group. The first line up included Tamisha Arrendell (now known as VibeQueen), Belinda Lovell (Formerly of Fannypack), Kenndra Moore & Lena Marti (of Bravo's "Work Out New York. This line up scraped the DRT indie top 100 chart in October 2013 featuring on Skee-Lo 's "Lil Too Late". Scheduling & Inner conflict led to the groups disbandment. A new lineup was formed which included VibeQueen, ALYXX, Olivia Cater, Joan Jamison & Ruby Raxx. In 2015 they hit #47 on the DRT Global Indie Top 80 chart; featuring along side David Ruffin, Jr. on Utfo member Doc Ice 's single "Hunnids". (Produced by Michael DeBarge & Corey Feldman with guitar work by Rick Springfield ) The Group followed up with "Too Late" (introducing Lorena Mercedes) & "Afraid To Love" a duet with ChrissyMilan. The quality of the groups work was top notch but it imploded again. The catalog of unreleased material was sold to Midtown Radio & Records/Sony Orchard and has been finding new life via samples and re-issues. A Retro Glam Reunion is highly unlikely but could happen. In later years Joan, Lorena & VibeQueen all released solo records but failed to garner any attention dismally selling less than a combined 50 units, Meanwhile Alyxx has continued to record and tour in the hard rock genre with her numbers increasing with each release. -- Brian York, Hollywood Digest
