Born Jeffrey Howard Trog on August 20, 1981; Troglodyte the Neanderthal (formally known as DJ Trog or Troglodyte) is a DJ, Producer, Turntablist, Audio Engineer from St. Louis Missouri who made his debut on the St. Louis Hip-Hop scene back in 2001 DJing underground/Independent golden era boom bap hip-hop records at clubs and music venues in his home town. Trog has backed up numerous St. Louis hip-hop acts such as Nite Owl, The Perfect Strangers, Nato Caliph, Toyy Davis, and has been a longtime member of 4 Sale But Not For Sale and Jims Pool Room/F5 Records affiliate. Best known for his longtime collaborations with Jia Davis (Bits N Pieces/The Committee/4 Sale But Not 4 Sale) He has opened for many indie artists such as Hieroglyphics, The Alkaholiks, Shyheim The Rugged Child, Freestyle Fellowship, Blueprint, Sadat X, The Beatnuts, and more.
