With ease, Alexei Aigui combines the piercing sensuality with strict form; the touching beauty of sound with experiments, minimalism and neoclassics with avanguard. He has written dozens of instrumental scores and more than 50 soundtracks for films by Raoul Peck, Hirokazu Koreeda, Pascal Bonitzer, among others. His track record will add an HBO project at the end of 2020. As a violinist, he initiated international projects with various musicians including the famous French composer and creator of sound machines, Pierre Bastien, french jazz-singer Mina Agossi, German pianist Dietmar Bonnen, and Japanese violinist Keisuke Ota, and actively performs with his ensemble “4’33’’”. He plays on well-respected world stages and festivals in Germany, France, Japan, Belgium and Russia.
