Record producer Shelby Jones, under the name Koreskape, has transcended genres and labels. With humble beginnings in the underground bass music scene to headlining out-of-state shows and appearing on music festival lineups outside of genre norms. Inspired by all forms of art, from video games to renaissance paintings, Koreskape has become an established name in scenes ranging from melodic dubstep to lofi boom-bap. All with music that can range from beautiful and emotional, to moody and bleak. A shift in sound occurred upon joining the chillhop scene with a string of releases on monster label GameChops, followed by multiple genre bending remixes for FiXT powerhouse Essenger, as well as collaborations with lofi legends GlitchxCity and Helynt. Moving towards chopped and mangled samples, R&B influenced drum rhythms and soulful bass guitar as the foundation, while maintaining electronica and dance elements to create a unique sound and style.
