Murat is a rapper, beatboxer, beatmaker who with his friend forms one of the most reknown hip hop duos in Slovenia, Murat & Jose. Together they have released albums V besedi je moč (In word there is power) (2002) and Tuki not (Here inside) (2008). They have also participated in the slovene-english project Rdyo and Buttercuts present: Yoyocuts (2006) and collaborated with many slovene and foreign artists. They also wrote a song "Zdej vem" (Now i Know) for the theatre show Brez (Without) in Ljubljana Puppet Theatre. Their first songs recorded in english were covers of Bob Dylan and R.E.M. featured on two compilations released by American Embassy in Ljubljana. Murat also regularly collaborates with german MC and producer Partizan. Together they have released slovene-german hip hop project named Slojtsch (2012), which is available for free download at murat.bandcamp.com. In 2014 he participated as co-author of music and actor in dance performance Momentum by choreographer Maša Kagao Knez, which was premiered in Cankarjev Dom, Ljubljana in September 2015. Murat also works as a mentor at beatbox and rap workshops in Slovenia and Austria. In 2016 he collaborated with american dance group Step Afrika! at their performances in Ljubljana and Murska Sobota,Slovenia. Lately he mostly performs as a beatboxer in a band called Pliš, which released their debut album Plošča za dve osebi (A plate for two) in 2015. He also does MCing at DJ parties, mostly with DJ Jamirko.
