Kristina Smetko, Karla Babić, and Margareta Tomac are members of the female musical trio The Dekle. The idea for the project came from producer Ivica Plivelić Iva, a hitmaker in the field of tambura music and the creator of the majority of the group's compositions. The group came together owing to social media, when Plivelić advertised an audition with the already invented moniker "The Dekle," to which the girls auditioned and were subsequently selected from hundreds of applicants. They are no strangers to the stage, as seen by their numerous appearances at folklore societies, and the girls perform songs from all around Croatia that are based on traditional and folk music in the spirit of tambura, which include their hits "Od Dunava do Jadrana," "Nitko kao majka" featuring Hanka Paldum, and "Samo kraj tebe".
