Fred Deakin was half of the band Lemon Jelly who were nominated for Mercury and Brit awards, sold over half a million albums and headlined stages at almost every major UK music festival (Glastonbury, Bestival, Big Chill, Reading, Leeds, T in the Park). His new science-fiction concept album The Lasters is set in a dystopian future and tells the tale of Earth's final family. It is inspired by the format of Jeff Wayne's War Of The Worlds and features Abi Sinclair, Charlotte Hatherley and Steffan Huw Davies.
