Biography

Weasel Sims; real name Rufus Sims is an American rapper. Born and raised on the west side of Chicago, IL in the Capital Hill neighborhood and Bellwood/Maywood, IL. Weasel Sims first rose to prominence when his picture was shown on the popular A&E television show “Gangland” and he subsequently released the single and music video with the same title. 
 He founded R.A.N. (Real Artist Network) to promote his music and market other artists he collaborated with frequently in Chicago and Atlanta. He continued to release music with numerous projects in his repertoire including albums: Trap N Grow (Level 1): The Return of Phobabe (2018), Qua.RAN.tine RANdemic – The Lil People (2020), Coke Raps – The Lil People (2020) as well as the much anticipated Aim High EP (Spring 2021). 
 Weasel has had a vast array of musical influences however he accredits the pivotal influences and inspiration in his life to Jay-Z, Kanye West, Notorious B.I.G., Nipsey Hu$$le, and Master P. This all culminates in Weasel producing a musical experience that is enjoyable, easy going and fun. It is music that is infused with positive energy to allow for an immersive experience that brings authenticity to the stories in his songs.
