Hailing from Houston, TX, singer-songwriter Truly Teo is no stranger to the world of music. He was a shy kid who loved to sing but would often freeze once realizing people were actually listening. His parents would fill the house with the musical stylings of Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross, Chaka Khan, Boyz 2 Men, R. Kelly, Whitney Houston, various gospel artists and many more where they would take turns singing their favorite songs. Music is in his blood. It was always a family affair. During his pre-teenage years was when the bug of becoming a recording artist actually hit him. This was the pivotal point in his life where his older brother, who he looked up to and adored beyond measure, became incarcerated at 16 and he did not quite understand why he was suddenly gone. His parents wanted to protect him from the harsh reality, at first. Once his mother decided to explain to him what was happening he made the decision to put his stage fright to the side and take on becoming a singer because that was the only thing he thought he could do which was fantastic enough to move mountains. He made a vow to start pursuing music to save his older brother. Now, Truly Teo is ready to take the industry by storm with an ode to Old Skool R&B mixed with current mainstream melodies and content.
