Born (Kamari Jahmoy Underwood) he is a descendant of Jamaica, but Although his family is from the islands, his origin started in Dekalb, Georgia. This talented artist adapted his alias from a comic character him and his brother created, called Desmond Grey. Desmond represented a “pure entity” to extract hatred out of the hearts of men and replace it with the power of hope. This transcendent rapper has been known for taking his listeners out of a state of somber and placing them in a more positive state of mind, and with his versatility he is able to deliver melodies and strong messages through his deliverance.To become the artist he is today, he was greatly influenced by MC Kendrick Lamar, and rapper Joey Badass, just to name a few. In 2019 Desmond was able to create his very own record Label, “Tundra”. Grey is also known for his collaborations with his childhood friend, Slutty Sonny.
