Biography

Simone Alessandrini is one of the most active musicians of the italian jazz new generation. In 2015 he founded “Storytellers”, band with which he recorded three albums, released by the label Parco della Musica Records: Storytellers (2017), Mania Hotel (2021) and Circe (2024). In the ‘Musica Jazz’ magazine, he was named twice among the top ten musicians in the category ‘best new italian talent’ (2018-2021). In 2023, on the same magazine, Simone Alessandrini Storytellers was ranked among the best groups of the year. In 2018 he played with Nazional Jazz Orchestra Young Talents conducted by Paolo Damiani. In 2019 Alessandrini won AIR, the international call for a residency in Cairo. In 2021 he founded with Simone Pappalardo and Mauro Remiddi the music collective MASMAS (with which he recorded the soundtrack for the documentary ‘L’Avamposto’, selected for Venice Film Festival 2023. He played as live musician and also recorded with Mannarino, Daniele Silvestri, Emma Nolde, Gianni Brezzo, Francesco Bearzatti, Fabrizio Bosso, Ralph Alessi, Enrico Pieranunzi, Roberto Gatto, Natalino Marchetti, Martha High, Glen Velez, Mauro Refosco and many more.
