Irene Mardi is a singer and songwriter from The Netherlands who started out singing jazz, but -loving pop, soul and folk music- made her way to a more poppy sound. She released her debut album Expectations in 2016. An album with eleven original songs recorded both in The Netherlands and Mexico, a country that she considers her second home. 
 A year later, inspired by the Mexican songwriters she collaborated with, Irene Mardi released a single in Spanish called ‘Volver a Respirar’. A translation she made of her song ‘A Piece Of You’ with Mexican songwriter Carla Merchant. 
 In 2019 Irene started collaborating with producer Bruno Rex in Amsterdam and their first single ‘Blackout’ will be released on June 21st, 2019.
