Originating from the South Coast of NSW and landing in Sydney’s Inner West, Calliobel draws inspiration from artists such as Melanie Martinez, Billie Eilish and Lana Del Ray. Australian influences include Mallrat, Lil Bo Weep, Vera Blue and Memphis LK. She began her endeavours in musical theatre at the age of seven. Her passion shifted at 14, when she picked up the guitar and started writing her own tunes. After years of experimenting to find her sound, she went through the genres of indie rock, pop punk, bedroom pop, R&B, and soft trap. She’s finally landed on a sound she likes to describe as ‘dark fairy-core’.
