Genghis Khan is an emcee and producer hailing from Greensboro, NC. He is the founding member of the 3 man production team known as The Gemini Lounge (Genghis Khan, Unconscious Rascall, and Jon Jackson). In 2008 Khan released his debut LP "The Violence Effect", followed by his critically acclaimed follow-up "The Broken Love LP" in 2012. Known for his gritty, dark, and often unique personal style, Khan's music has been labeled by some as "Industrial Hip Hop". A furious blend of vintage boom bap drums and samples, violently layered with synths and ambient atmospheric noise. Lyrically poetic and controversial, Khan's distinct voice speaks from a place of angst.
