Sophie Gibson is a singer/songwriter based in Auckland, New Zealand. 
 Originally from Scotland, Sophie moved to New Zealand with her family in 2005, and grew up in the small town of Katikati in the Bay of Plenty.
 Losing her older brother to suicide in 2015 is the driving force behind her beautiful, yet powerful and emotional lyrics. Since his passing, her music has become an important vessel for sharing mental health awareness. 
 Sophie’s music is inspired by nature, a collaboration with U.S. band Amite being released for the video game “Beyond Blue,” entitled “Something in the Water.” Her recent release “Deeper Waters” is an exploration of the emotions of hope and despair that come along with grieving a loss from suicide.
