DuQuan Jones, known professionally as “Dukwon” was raised in Jacksonville Florida, but was born in Southern Pines, N.C. His father was child hood friends with RunDMC and Jam Master Jay so he was around music since birth. Discovered and signed to FTGU music in 2003 by Alicia Keys manager DJ Walton, they went to work immediately on his debut album “Tha Landin”. Released in 2005 The album featured many stars such as 69 Boyz Thrill da Playa and Grammy nominee Jermaine Paul (featured on Alicia Keys Dairy also season 2 winner of The Voice). Dukwon performed across the country on many tours such as; St Marteen Summer Fest which he headlined with Fat Joe & Fabolous, Bow Wow’s Price of fame Tour, Mountain Dew Ball 4 Real Tour (co-headlined with The Shop Boyz) and DMX Kings and Queens of Hip Hop Tour. Dukwon has recorded records with Killer Mike, Freeway, Young Buck, Flo-Rida, Diamond from crime mob and others. Dukwon also two street mixtapes with DJ Smallz titled “I Will Be Heard” & “ Right B4 Da Deal” which was also hosted by Bigga Rankin. Still in music Dukwon is doing his thing around the country.
