Born and raised in Lithuania, Kaunas, Benediktas Makstys (BigBen) - a name inspired by the London's Great Bell of Big Ben, earlier fitness success and a whole different outlook on hip-hop -first appeared on the Lithuanian hip-hop scene with his debut single "Working Hard" in early 2019. BigBen was working with multiple different producers until he stumbled upon a producer called Judra, with whom, in the summer of 2019, made a single "None Like Me" and officially joined an independent artist/friend group "Bayside Records". Growing up, the artist wasn't associated with music at all, until, in 2015, he found the genre hip-hop and fell in love with it. From 2015 to 2018 BigBen listened to rap intensely and at the end of 2018 decided to write his first verse. Soon enough, with his first single coming out, the artist started to fall in love with lyricism, rhyming schemes, and flow patterns. Being a rapper, who enjoys trap beats, BigBen decided, that he wanted to flip the genre upside down and make it more lyrical and meaningful and deliver the genre in his own unique way.
