Biography

Joachim Knop started his education as a singer at The Royal Danish Academy of Music, and completed his studies at the Opera Academy at The Royal Theater in the summer of 2000. He has, among other things, sung Wilhelm in the Betty Nansen Theater's version of Tom Waits' The Black Rider, Fiddelihut in The Royal Theatre's premiere of Fuzzys Witch Nut Mortensen and the Fat Turkey, Ping in Turandot at Malmö Music Theater, Schaunard in La Boheme at Den Jyske Opera , Don Juan at The Funen Opera, Barber from Seville at the Aarhus Summer Opera, Magic Flute at The Danish Opera and The New Opera, The Brothers Lionheart at The Royal Theater and Love Me in Night in Tivoli. As an actor, Joachim made his debut in the boys from St. Petri and has since appeared in several feature films, including the films about Anja and Viktor. In recent seasons, he has, among other things, participated in a newly written musical by Bent Fabricius-Bjerre, sung Sondheim's Into the Woods in Glassalen and soon premiered on Bodyguard-The musical in Tivoli's Concert Hall
