Damián Foretic is an argentine bandoneon player and composer, with strong roots in the Tango genre, as well as dedicated to researching and promoting the new sounds of the bandoneon through teaching, composition, improvisation, and interpretation. During 2011 and 2012 he was a member of the Orquesta Escuela Emilio Balcarce, with which they received the Gardel Award for “Best Tango Album”. He toured more than 30 countries in America, Europe, Asia and Africa with various groups. In July 2021 he received 1st prize in the International Competition “Piazzolla Trani 2021” in the Bandoneon Solo category. In 2023 he creates in Buenos Aires "Tangos sin arreglo", a cycle intended for group improvisation, in which prestigious tango musicians participate. He currently divides his time between Buenos Aires and Europe, taking part in multiple artistic projects.
