Born in the valley of Kashmir, Raiez comes from Srinagar and he has been drawing inspiration from various Sufi poets since childhood. Although you will find his original compositions in Sufi Ambient, Urdu/Hindi rock, Indie, world music genres but his love for Bollywood music and Ghazals is a part of his journey. Since a decade he is doing solo live gigs and stage shows around the globe, also with his band called Badmast. For him music is liberating. There is no purpose in life. It’s a way to embrace the fullness of life, to momentarily get to no purpose, to infinity.
