"Chicago Artist, Suave Da Lyricist started his career as a freshman in high school after he and cousin would rap while they walked to and from school. Growing up on the low end section of the South side of Chicago, and having access to a recording studio to develop and perfect his craft was difficult, so he turned his bedroom to a studio which consisted just two radios. One to play the instrumentals and the other to record him rapping. In 2001 Suave was signed to Chicago Indie label Street View Entertainment and began to vigorously attempt conquer his goals. While there he had been featured on WGCI. One in particular was titled Censored. That project led to a deal at Koch. Suave would often say "Yeah I had a deal but it was nothing to call home about". With no idea of what was to come from the situation he found himself stuck in a rut. Having signed without having full knowledge of the business he had contractually signed away his ability to work as an artist. After reading and becoming aware of the business he found a way out of the his situation and began to make music again under his own imprint SDL Inc. Presently Suave is still recording. In 2017 he and long time collaborating partner Smokey Da Bandit won best new entertainers at the 36 annual Chicago Music Awards. Quoted saying "This rap shit is therapeutic. I record when at my lowest and my best music comes from it. When I'm in my happy place I barely know rap exist".
