An accomplished student at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Khanyisani Emmanuel Ndlovu was born musically known as Sane Jr. Sane_Jr made his debut in 2019 when he recorded the song "Never Stop" with his producer ITHINKITPERFECT. Because of his grades and way of life, Sane Jr was unable to upload his music to social platforms. He was able to record some songs for the supporters and fans of his school over those two years. He was given the opportunity to record two singles in 2020 after vying for the microphone during his Matriculation trials and final examinations for months. His second song, "Working for Heavenly Father," then he wrote his third top-charting song, "Whole heart," and he recorded "Mouth Closed," his fourth song, while he was a first-year student at the aforementioned university in the year 2021. The song is about his experiences when his family was expanded. As he relocated from his birth town to Durban, he locked those four unreleased tracks as an EP dubbed "Born Town EP Mixtape." however, he did so in 2022. He made "Mouth Closed" available. He officially released the EP and signed it to Distrokid in September 2022, the month of his mother's birthday. He then recorded an unreleased hit that went viral with clips "Second Coolest Kid In Africa."
