Pianist, composer and producer Cornelius Claudio Kreusch studied with Jaki Byard, Mal Waldron, Charlie Banacos, Ray Santisi, Leonid Chizhik, Laszlo Gardony and Claude-France Journés. He finished his studies at Berklee College of Music (BM) and Manhattan School of Music (MM) with honors. The “pianist who sounds like no one else, endlessly fascinating to hear” (Boston Globe) has performed and recorded with some of the most lauded jazz musicians on the planet, including Herbie Hancock, Salif Keïta, Kenny Garrett, Bobby Watson, Greg Osby, Bobby McFerrin, Richard Bona, Anthony Cox, Marvin “Smitty” Smith, Will Calhoun, James Genus amo. He recorded 24 albums under his name on diverse labels such as ENJA, ACT, BMG, OehmsClassics, MJM and GLM and won numerous awards for his recordings and productions. France Ouest wrote: "A genius talent, a nimble fingered sorcerer, a creative iconoclast. The alchemist." Kreusch was five when he got his first piano lessons from his mother, classical pianist Dorothée Kreusch-Jacob, and by the age of ten he had discovered jazz, a musical passion that never left him. CCK has also a strong, practical, and even visionary business sense, and is the founder and CEO of his own digital music company, MUSICJUSTMUSIC. Tirelessly creative, CCK has also produced a couple hundred albums for other artists. But the piano, jazz, improvisation and the melody remain Kreusch's first love: "One of the greatest improvisors in Europe." (Jazzthing)
