Rossini Hayward is fast becoming one of the most sought-after classical guitarists of our time. His concerts are renowned for their expressiveness and his ingenuity as a composer and arranger continues to astound and move audiences wherever he plays. His first CD Pieces of Mind: Classical Guitar Compositions and Arrangements, which features exclusively his own works, released in 2018 to critical acclaim. His second CD Stille Nacht: Christmas Carols for Guitar was released by NAXOS in 2020 and features his beautiful arrangements of Christmas carols. Seven of the arrangements involve overdubbing from Rossini himself with voice, percussive effects or guitar with the condition that all sounds be made by him or his guitar. The solo guitar scores to all 18 carol arrangements have been published in the book Christmas Carols for Guitar by Ut Orpheus. He has also had several compositions published by Edition Margaux. Rossini was born in 1981 in London. He studied Engineering Science at St. Anne’s College, Oxford, graduating with a First in 2005. Subsequently, after formative lessons with Gilbert Biberian, he won a major scholarship to study guitar with John Mills at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Later on he studied with Sonja Prunnbauer at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg, where he graduated in 2012 with the highest honours. He currently lives in Nürnberg, Germany.
