It started eight years ago with a drum pad app on an iPod. Eleven-year-old Nesta Malcolm was captivated by the variety of beats he could create with a tap of his finger. Refined during family road trips, his passion for creating beats would ignite a curiosity for what was possible beyond his iPod Touch. 1.5 million streams later, his curiosity is still growing. 
 During high school Malcolm found success producing electronic music, but the shift towards his new sound was born during the pandemic. His 2020 pop influenced single ‘Lonely’ was signed by independent dance label, Charge RCRDS, and was the first track to feature his own lyrics and vocals. This new style led to significant growth in his fanbase earning him 100,000 monthly listeners at his peak. 
 After graduating high school, Nesta decided to dive headfirst into the music scene and study an Audio Engineering program in Kelowna. Here he would refine his sound releasing his hit song “Drinking Alone” which currently sits at over 450,000 streams. In the summer of 2022 he had a successful release of his debut studio EP, “Journals”. A self produced project that pushed his electronic-pop influenced sound as well as his career further than he thought imaginable. Following the release he was interviewed by CBC News, The Fernie Free Press and many other news outlets. 
 Now, Nesta Malcolm’s journey has led him to Vancouver, where he plans to work on a full album, collaborate, and perform his music.
