SlideRideFunk is a Gullah Boi born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. He's a Touring Musician, Musical Artist, Traveling Performer and a Great Poet. He grew up playing his trombone on the streets of Downtown Charleston, Making a name for himself where the music scenery isn't really flourishing. After Graduating High School, he marched at Benedict College in 2019 being apart of the "Black and Blues" Trombone fanfare that went viral on tik tok He started his Rapping career through one of his friends beats Ace Rouse making his first ever song Broken Spells, helping him become his own producer. He also collabs with his Touring partner/Producers Jay Vilpin (Sacrifices), IgilanoDean (Me, Myself & I) , & Ogyunggod (Tribute To Gayle). SlideRideFunk also Toured the United States in 2021, 2022-2023 in the band most popular known for the "Beyonce's Coachella Performance" DrumlineLive! On 1 Rare occurrence when DrumlineLive made a stop for a show in Dallas Texas, SlideRideFunk ran into touring celebrity ''El Obama'' Carlos Anderson in the Notorious group Banda Carnaval & played the Salsa anthem "Idilio" Together; Goin Viral on ALL Social Media Platforms. In 2024, With DrumlineLive SlideRideFunk Collaborated with Famous Streamer Kai Cenat Promoting the Chicken Big Mac for McDonald’s; Soloing Right next to him on his Platform. Through his Gullah Culture, he preserved of what's left of his family's lineage of ties through Magick Rituals. SlideRideFunk is one of a kind.
