Born and raised in Canada, Laek developed a strong love for dance music in the early 2010’s from listening to prominent artists like Martin Garrix, Calvin Harris, Skrillex, Alesso, Avicii, Tiesto and many others. More recently, Laek has drawn inspiration from artists such as Joyryde, Habstrakt, Skrillex and Ship Wrek and Chris Lake. Laek’s music incorporates influences from a number of his favourite genres including Bass, Deep and Tech house, which combine together to create a unique musical style with groovy bass lines and catchy melodies. Laek has performed at venues in and around Toronto, Canada, including Stages Nightclub in Kingston, ON. and a number of venues in London, ON. where he held multiple local residencies. Over the course of 2020-2022 while venues were largely closed, Laek took the opportunity to continue developing his unique sound as an artist. Laek is committed to building a positive environment in the space based on a common love and appreciation for dance music. He also contributes to the space by sharing his music production techniques and insights on social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. Laek has a big 2024 lined up with multiple releases planned over the coming months, including his most recent release Water Has Memory, which dropped on May 25th, 2024.
