Born and raised on the east side of Detroit during the late 90’s, Legit has seen a multitude of things at an early age. In his formative years, Legit had a different journey than many of his peers. This journey helped mold his unique sound, as he became more aware of the world around him. Legit’s love for music started the first time he heard Luther Vandross blaring through the speaker, as his mom cleaned the house on Sunday mornings. Since then his taste in music has become very diverse. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Andre 3000, 2pac, Nas, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole. L.E.G.I.T is an acronym that stands for Live Eternally Given Incremented Time. It’s a lifestyle and a reminder that there are 24 hours in a day, and no one is promised a single one of them.
