Biography

Guy Yehuda, the top prizewinner of several international competitions, was hailed by composer John Corigliano as “One of the most awe-inspiring clarinetists today”. He has performed in Europe, North America and Israel with the Israel Philharmonic, Lucerne Contemporary Festival, Spoleto Festival, Haifa Symphony and Cincinnati Chamber Orchestras, among others as well as guest clarinetist with the Chicago Symphony. Mr. Yehuda collaborated with top conductors and composers including Pierre Boulez, Zubin Mehta, Kurt Masur, Daniel Barenboim, Steve Reich and John Corigliano. A sought after recitalist throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia, he has performed as soloist in prestigious halls worldwide in venues such as Carnegie Hall and Chicago Symphony Hall to name a few. Mr. Yehuda appears regularly as a guest artist on NPR Public Radio across the U.S and abroad. His varied discography includes CD’s on XII-21, Albany records, and Blue Griffin record labels. Professor Yehuda has given master classes throughout the U.S, Canada, Mexico, Europe, China and Israel. He is a Selmer-Paris and Vandoren artist and product consultant. Mr. Yehuda held visiting faculty positions at Indiana University and the University of Virginia, and has been the Clarinet Professor at the University of North Florida. Currently he is the Associate Professor of Clarinet at Michigan State University College of Music and Principal clarinetist with the Lansing Symphony and Jackson Symphony.
