The story of the Preacher and the Pimp is a classic one. Particularly because of the alleged struggle between the two powerful energies. In both his art and his existence, Cashius Green presents a different relationship betwixt the rivals--a complimentary one. With a smooth, seductive, slightly southern-lilted voice, over production heavy instrumentation with old-sch ool musicality; the artist formerly known as Pastor Green immediately places us in the front row of a blaxploitation pimp flick. He then challenges us with whimsical lyrics about the very serious issues of finding a place to BE on this planet. Of providing. Of leading. We have to realize that though we are having a good time, there are very real undertones to what's happening--that's Cashius' ability to take us to church. LUXURY is where the preacher and the pimp compliment one another, and LUXURY is what Cashius Green brings to everything he touches. (Just say the name out loud...don't your lips feel more luxurious?) Maybe that's why Cashius is banned from Best Western. They were only the best...till the best pulled up.
