American folk-influenced Cantopop singer/songwriter Albert Au rose to fame in the 1980s and is also known for his radio show on RTHK. Born in Hong Kong on July 31, 1955, he is a graduate of Hong Kong Baptist University and emerged as a popular recording artist in the early '80s. During his period of peak popularity he appeared in various films and television series.
