Barn-B - Rapper , spoken word artist & songwriter is the latest independent artist to emerge from London’s underground music scene. Raised in West London, Barn-B has been writing lyrics since the age of 12, his musical influences and style span across many genres, including Grime, Hip-Hop, R&B and Soul. He describes his lyrics to be full of positive messaging and motivational quotes. A diverse range of artists inspire his musical style - including JAY-Z, Micheal Jackson, Billy Joel, Cold Play, James Brown, Bob Marley, Ed Sheeran, Drake, Dizzee Rascal, N.E.R.D, Pharrell Williams, Tracy Chapman, Eminem, Justin Timberlake, Dave, Stormzy & Kanye West to name a few. Being open to a variety of music genres growing up, Barn-B’s style is experimental and reflects his broad range of musical influences, which enable his music to be played in many different settings, including the underground scene and the mainstream. As well as writing lyrics and producing music for many underground acts over the years, Barn-B is a fan of the UK’s rap battle scene, and previously has taken part in rap battles himself, including Don’t Flop in 2012, which is the UK’s number one battle league. Barn-B has also battled on Jump Off in the UK, one of the most recognised organisations in music and also performed in front of the likes of Lowkey , Sway, D Double E and even Gorge Galloway.
