Lilfly developed his love for hip hop while he was at a pawnshop with his parents he purchased Warren G's “Regulate G Funk Era” Cd for Only $1 In the clearance section & got hooked immediately to rap by the year of 2006 Lilfly wrote his first rap And in 2008 he recorded his first demo “Tha Ghetto Underground Mixtape” with his cousin J Thug at Dickie's Recording Studio in Benavides, Texas constantly trying to get it into the hands of Rapper Spm's Houston based record label “Dopehouse Records” and “Thug City Records” A record label in Corpus Christi At the time However getting his demo to either label was Unsuccessful. In 2009 Lilfly reached out to Recording Artist Ice of “4 Corner Hustluz” whom was also running his own record label “Icehouse Records” Lilfly showed and proved his skill which was liked by Ice writing & rapping at 16 during a Recording Session lilfly meets Dopehouse Records Recording Artist “Juan Gotti” And recorded his first breakthrough single “Youngghetto Mexican” With juan gotti For his first Studio Album “Tha Youngghetto Mexican Da Mixtape” Which was released in late 2009 & sold over 2,000 Units within The first two weeks of Its release He also attended high school at H.M King High School in Kingsville, Texas where his fanbase began
