Biography

Jeff Lehman has been a widely known, musician in the metro-Detroit area for some time. Besides performing as a solo singer/songwriter, he also produces, and is the go to guy for many famous acts such as Looking Glass featuring Elliot Lurie, where he acts as the music director/keyboardist, Climax, Joey Molland’s Badfinger, Sonny Geraci and the Outsiders, Otis Day and the Nights, Jim Gold and Gallery, and many more. He is known for his soul tinged high tenor voice, and fluid keyboard chops, which borrow heavily from jazz, soul, and blues. As a songwriter he is influenced by the Beatles, ELO, 10cc, the Isleys, and much of the Brill Building pop era. He continues a busy schedule of touring, teaching, producing and writing. In 2013 he recorded a duet with Charles Davis, lead singer of the Contours and the Shades Of Blue, called “Built From Soul.” Jeff has had airplay on AC radio in Switzerland, Canada, the US and the Internet for “Everything Must Change,” “Don’t Look Back,” “Built from Soul,” and “Obscured by Light.” He currently performs with Looking Glass, Jeff Lehman’s City Lights Band, Population 3, and The Break.
