James Downham is a country recording artist out of Stratford, Ontario, Canada whose sound is characterized by his recognizable and powerful vocals. Raised in small town rural Ontario, James called Pembroke and Picton home before settling in Southwestern Ontario. He got his start in country music as the lead singer in a Tim McGraw tribute ofr over a decade before turning his attention back to original music. Downham was the winner of Season 2 of The Shot and he hasn't slowed down since, performing on festival stages, and even the famed Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2023 Downham released his debut full-length album, "The Long Way Home," which features an all-star cast of musicians, including 2023 CCMA Drummer of the Year, and 2023 CCMA Nominees Mark Rynkun (Bass Player of the Year) and Matt Koebel (Keyboard Player of the Year). The album includes 6 radio singles, including "Wine & Whiskey" and "Unwind." This summer, Downham is back at it a again for "Another Round" with Waterloo, Ontario's Amanda Kind. Downham and Kind previously teamed up for 2021's "We're Okay" and 2023's "In the Mood for Christmas." The new duet, due out July 5, 2024, takes a look at two people who just can't keep coming back to one another.
