Gereon Theis received his first cello lessons at the age of six and won prestigious prizes at a young age. He is a co-founder of the internationally concerted Vigato Quartet, which fascinates with interpretations of classical music as well as premieres of modern music and inspires with regular radio recordings and world premiere recordings. As a Sony exclusive artist, he recorded numerous albums, including the ensemble The Modern String Quintet and the NDR Radiophilharmonie. He recorded and produced the albums of pianist and composer Florian Christl , with whom he regularly goes on tour. In order to break new ground between classical and rock, Gereon Theis founded the crossover band TwoPlusFour in 2018, whose debut album will be released by Sony Music.
