Clint Chandler is a DIY musician/songwriter from North Texas, currently residing near Nashville, TN. "Since 2010 I've played guitar, mandolin, and banjo for a successful pop/country trio out of Nashville called Lady A (formerly Lady Antebellum). I am extremely thankful for the job but I also have a constant need to be creative and make my own music. I have written and recorded my own songs since I was 14 when I hijacked my father's four track cassette recorder. I love music and a wide variety of styles so nailing down my personal genre has always been difficult for me. My style is somewhere around the indie-alternative-Americana world. Some say they can all be the same thing but who knows. I was raised on country music so storytelling definitely shows up in my songwriting but I choose to avoid the trucks and backroads stories. I am a bit of an introvert so expressing myself hasn't always been easy. Writing songs became a way for me to open up and tell imaginary tales of people and places. Songwriting has been extremely therapeutic for me. With my songs, I'm not trying to change the world, I'm just trying to change myself for the better. I look at my music as snapshots of my life during specific times. My plan is for each recording to be a statement of where I am at that moment; technically, musically, and emotionally. I hope to eventually look back and see a positive progression from one release to the next, each with more interesting stories and sounds than the last."
