Composer, producer, live performer. His works include mostly compositions for small ensembles and solo instruments. In his works he uses minimalist and spectral techniques, combining them with broadly defined area of electronic music (field recording, sampling, MaxMSP programming). He teaches at the Faculty of Media Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.He is the only polish artist who released two albums for KAIROS, well known Austrian record label, which specializes in contemporary music: "Contemporary Jewish Music" (2017) & "From 1 to 7" (2019). "From 1 to 7", released as part of the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of KAIROS, was on the list of the best albums of 2019 according to Italian magazine Percorsi Musicali. Stefan Węgłowski did a lot compositions for film and theater. He cooperated with artists like Agnieszka Kurant, Maja Kleczewska and Paweł Łysak. On 24 January Muzeum Śląskie (Silesian Museum) released his ambient LP "What is Hidden". The album was created as a part of the exhibition "What is Hidden" by Bartek "Arobal" Kociemba which was a part of the program of the Biennale Industrii implemented by Muzeum Śląskie in Katowice, Poland. Album was mastered by well known techno musician and producer Michał Wolski.
