Richiie K is a rap music performer who's songs are high tempo, heavy beats laced with raw lyricism and a natural talent for music. What makes him unique and unlike any other is how his musical focus and influences stretch beyond the boom bap or 808 beats. He likes experimenting with different sounds and instruments to connect with a wider range of listeners, which opens him up to offering something fresh and new. He believes this is the best way to honestly share his music with the world. As a founding member of an independent record label called "Vibe City" Richiie is part of the new generation of South Africa artists doing it for themselves. Born Khumo Nare, 21 year old Richiie K is originally from Makapanstaad Hamaanskraal North West of South Africa but has lived in Kelvin, Johannesburg north since 2011. He started showing interest in music around the age of 9 as he loved how the music made him feel and subsequently made his first song at the age of 13. His career in the music industry actually started in a different discipline - dance; as part of a dance crew called "Street Kings". His uncle Koki "K-Gunz" Nare who is one of his biggest influencers would take Richiie to rap battles and cyphers at the time, this is when his relationship with rap really began. Being in and around that contagious environment, where he saw crowds of young hip hop heads having fun, expressing themselves in different ways, there was no way Richiie wouldn't want to be a part of that energy.
