Blending classical, jazz and folk influences, Earthtones Trio's debut album Sound Tracks sees Scottish pianist/composer Euan Stevenson’s collaboration with Royal Scottish National Orchestra's Principal flautist Katherine Bryan and cellist Betsy Taylor come to creative fruition. The trio's music has already attracted interest and support from leading UK broadcasters including the BBC and Classic FM. Following a successful series of festive releases featuring arrangements of Stevenson’s favourite hymns, Sound Tracks showcases nine new contemporary classical pieces inspired by Stevenson's home town of Falkirk in Scotland. Stevenson was commissioned by Chamber Music Scotland and Classic Music Live Falkirk to write Sound Tracks. Following a live premiere, studio recordings are being released on Scottish label iOcco Classical including lead tracks Wheel Slowly Turning, inspired by the the iconic Falkirk Wheel, 'Skirmish', 'Outdoor Feeling' and 'Running For Miles'. Forthcoming lead track 'Nostalgia' is released on October 1st.
