Ella Piknjac was born in Sydney and raised in a musical family. In her early years, she showed interest for music and performing arts. At the age of 3, she started playing the piano and later on picked up guitar, singing, dancing and acting. Ella embraced her music career when she moved to Europe with her family where she enrolled the Mu-sic High School of Sarajevo majoring in piano and voice. Ella is preparing to start her studies at the Music Academy in Sarajevo studying conducting whilst at the same time finishing Piano Grade 8 from the London College of Music of the University of West London. At age 14, she won the national 1st prize with her debut song “Make Up Your Mind”. Ella has a love for sharing her passion of music by teaching and inspiring many young children through workshops and lessons. As a 19 year old, Ella has a de-sire and passion for songwriting and to perform in choirs and bands. A personal and emotional struggle of many young individuals, led Ella to write a song about figuring out who we actually are. The constant pressure of expectations of society usually leads to confusion and losing ourselves on our life journey and life path. “Who We Are” has an intention of bringing the concept of the hardships of tough emotional issues, struggles and feeling “lost” closer to the listener, speaking directly to their heart and soul.
