Rocki is a universal talent that is homegrown in Birmingham, AL. Her passion for composing and singing has kept her consistent in the music game for a decade while she continues to expand her body of work, networks, and skill sets. Her sound is melodic and worldly as she fuzes hip hop, pop, R&B, and other genres. She experiments with different sounds as well as studies and then masters difficult concepts and components within music to make magical symphonies. “My voice is full of passion,” she said as she explained what sets her apart. She continued, “I can do many genres… and nobody has my sound. I genuinely feel like I’m in a lane of my own!” She incorporates her mundane and spiritual experiences so that her audience consumes music that nourishes and soothes the soul. Creative writing such as lyrics and poetry has always been her form of self-expression, since she naturally has a quiet, shy disposition, analyzing and observing her environment. Writing enabled her to comfortably and vulnerably communicate her feelings, and then tapping into music allowed her to verbally express what was written. “Maybe this is my purpose. [Being a music artist] was something that came about to help me to be able to open up to the world and share my story. Industry moguls such as Candace Owens, who was a major support and career catalyst, in addition to Walt Millsap, Balewa Muhammad, and Icon Billingsley took her under their wings in mentorship with songwriting opportunities.
