Darksynth Producer, Dark Smoke Signal hails from Bristol, UK. Flickering in the shadows between the genres of Cyberpunk, Synthwave and Darksynth, songs are a mix of vocal and instrumental styles retaining a melodic edge that hook the listener in. DSS has been featured on New Retro Wave, Nightride FM and The 80’s Guy. Popular releases include 'Thunder Road', a throbbing ball of energy flambéed in 80's hair metal guitar and 'December Rose' is a six and a half minute epic that was awarded single of the year in the annual Forever Synth awards. ‘MegaCorp’ has been featured on many Cyberpunk playlists. Debut concept album, 'The Antipope Resurrection’ was released in 2020 to much acclaim, quickly selling out limited edition hard copies. DSS won ‘Best Live Performance’ in the 2020 Forever Synth awards after playing shows with the likes of Lebrock, Dan Terminus, Lazerpunk and Absolute Valentine.
