5am is a 20-something creative based out of Georgia's music hotbed Atlanta. What started out as novelty beat construction, due to not being fond of his voice, soon turned into full-blown artistry while still in high school. In 2016 he released his first mixtape Euphoria exclusively to SoundCloud and Audiomack which gained him notoriety in the underground. Not too long after he commercially made a name for himself with the release of Bad Boy Records' founder tribute "New Diddy" in 2017, he quickly followed up with "Rose Gold" and the Meek Mill-approved cut "Only One" - which signified him officially joining Interscope's roster via 1865 Management. The buzz created by the trio of songs were immortalized with the release of 'Euphoria on all platforms that same year.' The following year he began receiving comparisons to The Weeknd and PND, partially after the massive visibility gained from joining Jim Jones on 'Wasted Talent' standout "Chicken Fried Rice." As if public support from a-list talent like Future wasn't enough, 2019 is proving to be his best year yet; seeing the release of his collaborative project with Grammy-nominated producer TM88. Appropriately titled '5:88,' it can best be described as a futuristic fusion of R&B and Hip-Hop laced with LSD. Comprised of 8 cohesive cuts '5:88' is sure to serve as your pre-game or after hours spot soundtrack this summer.
