Listen. Feel. Know. kimgarykim (KGK) was born on June 17, 1999. The Bronx native was exposed to a great variety of reggae music in his early stages of life, mostly due to his parents who immigrated from a small island in the Caribbean known as Dominica. In old VHS tapes, he can be seen at the age of three jammin' with a guitar to songs by Bob Marely, a favorite of his father's. From the concrete jungle a rose sprouted, attracting others to his vibrance. He moved to Maplewood, New Jersey at the age of 4, where he immediately found one of his closest musical friends. kimgarykim grew to become a fan of poetry and noticed he was far more attached to the art than his peers. He wrote poems to express how he felt and what he was going through. He also wrote poems to those who he felt broke his heart when he was first finding out about love. Those poems eventually turned into rhymes, and those rhymes naturally turned into songs. He began making music in the year of 2016 and has elegantly evolved as an artist. In the year 2017, KGK released his hit single on Soundcloud entitled "Your Lies", which emerged as a fan favorite. His lofi hip hop vibe set him apart from many artists, and all of his songs revolved around one theme: love.
