“Sex Music for House People” is the motto of this enigmatic production team who create their unique house grooves from a studio in the north of England. Coming up from the depths of the early UK house scene Fish From Japan are a collective of producers, DJs and vocalists with a penchant for creating forward thinking electronic music for the feet, the ears, and the bedroom!. The disparate characters behind Fish From Japan have led varied and exotic life in and out of music. Coming together, usually at short notice they splice and weld elements drawn from their many musical influences. There are no rules or specific genres or limits on their music. Fish From Japan have released on labels such as Toolroom, Nervous, Armada, Kitsune and Bunny Tiger. They have previously worked with the African legend Mory Kante (of “Yeke Yeke” fame) and house music goddess Jocelyn Brown.
