New Weirdos are a 4-piece indie rock band from Atlanta, Ga made up of lead singer/guitarist/keyboardist James Hunter, bassist Charles Bryant, guitarist Chris Kingsbury, and drummer Bob Stocking. Their newest single "(I Wanna Be Your) Rock Star" is about wanting to be loved and adored by an audience, even if that audience is only you. It's a song that demonstrates the band's funk and disco influences as well as its knack for catchy earworms. It's fun, it's loaded with rhythm percussion, and it's got a rippin guitar solo.
