Tha Gho$t seemingly came from nowhere in 2017 as an engineer, producer, and beat maker. Appearing in Denver’s underground hip-hop scene, Tha Gho$t was only featured rarely as a guest rapper. It wasn’t until 2020 that Tha Gho$t surfaced again, releasing “What They Want From Me” with underground hip-hop artist, Donny Seuss. Fans would be pleasantly surprised by the fusion of Lofi samples, futuristic synth, and trap drums. After what seemed like a touch and go, it was soon revealed that Tha Gho$t was just getting warmed up. In the months following, Tha Gho$t released 3 EPs: Part 1, 2, and 3, respectively. Each EP focused on a different sound and vocal style, ranging from RnB to Trap, to Alternative Hip-Hop. With so many eloquent styles, flows, and stories appearing in his songs, Tha Gho$t began to stamp his signature in the hearts of fans. Faithful listeners were rewarded with a full length album in December of 2020 titled “Everything is Differnt,” as well as two executive produced albums for two other hip-hop artists. After gaining considerable momentum, and baffling fans with a 28 song album, Tha Gho$t continues to release iconic songs at a groundbreaking pace. While many speculate, nobody knows for sure who Tha Gho$t really is. Although he continues to remain anonymous, his identity and multiple personalities shine through in his discography. One only has to flip through a few tracks to learn of Tha Gho$ts origins in a rough neighborhood, North of St. Louis, Missouri.
